Hi, it fell exactly like it´s supposed to fall on the heavier crownguard protector side. It protects the crown itself and damage to the caseset - and the crownguard-device also absorbs part of the shock (and protects the movement and crystal) - fine.
The easiest for a replacement part would be to contact Your TD where You bought it. Probably You can find parts on ebay too. There are just 2 screws holding it to the caseset but the part has to be exact to fit well.
Jackson Tse has (cheap and simple) replacements like here: http://www.jacksontse.com/new/product-list.php?catlv2_id=15. Others offer higher quality and more expensive ones for $100 and more.
I suppose the gen part would have been more resistant, also the same from other PAM rep divers because they are thicker/ more solid.
