I have just received my Breitling SuperOcean Heritage with Rubber Strap from D4me.
I have never adjusted a rubber strap before and there looks to be some cutting involved here. Does anyone out there know how I should go about this?

NO! PLEASE DON'T CUT! Let someone who know about the deployant on that model tell you first. I couldn't imagine that you would need to cut anything.

I dont own one... I wish I could help more. I am thinking of buying one though.. the strap is cool!

I had to cut my strap on the Porsche Design to fit in the deployant and you have to do the same for the TAG Tiger Woods... is possible you have to do it for this too??? I dont know.

YES you muss cut it, but go little by little, think that you have the system to ajust it on buckle too, it s not so difficult

you do have to cut it down... if you look at it from the side, you will see multiple holes for the spring bar to go in... you will see little sections that you can cut off towards the deployant end and each section has a place for a springbar... remember, cut a little and then try it... don't want to cut it too short!

Fortunately there is a small amount of adjustment to allow you to fine fit the band. Pretty slick actually. I've been waiting to see one of this in person. Can you please post some pics! I'm sure we all want to see how good this band turned out... All I have seen is pics of the sample.

LIke they all stated above just cut a little at a time as you can always take more off but can't add it. Curious to see pics and find out how good the strap and deployant clasp turned out. I have wanted a SOH for a while now but have waited until this strap came out. If it turned out well then I guess I'll have to talk to d4me.

Some Pics as promised....
The pin in the left handside is impossible to move and I can't see anywhere on the other side for adjusting.

Thanks for the pics. Looks pretty good. There should be an adjustment... Where it says push, you should be able to set it to multiple positions in between what you have shown. (Or this is at least how the GEN works). So if you cut the band a bit shorter will that make it fit, with the adjustment fully out? Good luck.

Finally got the strap adjusted after taking it in to three different jewellers. The first two didn't have a clue how to adjust the strap but third guy sorted it. My advice to anyone getting one of these straps is to make sure you get it in your size cos you will not be able to adjust and cut it yourself.

Can easily adjust strap on Heritage. Side of deployant with holes showing is straightforward. Side without holes? Slip a small knife blade to release strap (by feeling for, and depressing spring bar.) With strap free, one then carefully cuts strap on both ends, and replaces both ends of strap on deployant to check for fit. As metioned, work slowly.

No need for watchmaker, can do yourself.

I concur... I have two of the Ocean Racers... takes about 5-10 minutes to remove the strap, cut, and re-attach...

I would suggest cutting the strap a lil long and adjusting it in a lil on the buckle as necessary...

no problem, just use a springbar tool and go between clasp and rubber, get the rubber strap out and then cut in little pieces....
On RWG is a good tutorial with al lot of pics, I am on my iphone right now and I cannot copy the link. But it is very easy when you get it, I have done it several times :D

Hi, am facing the same daunting task; am presuming a craft knife is in order? Or can a Stanley knife (or Box cutter) with new blade do the job?
