Ok guys I am on the verge of pulling the trigger and losing my rep virginity to Breitling Superocean Heritage. I am going for the non-chronograph version and was wondering what would be considered a better movement - the 2824-2 or the 7750. Both are asian 28,800 clones. Price difference in the two is not really a major issue with the 7750 being the more expensive. But which would be considered a more reliable movement for this watch?

Also what is general consensus on the quality of reps on this watch?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi, regarding the movements, both are good movements. Many would say it's sensible to go for the none chronograph version for your first rep as its possible to damage the 7750 movement with incorrect usage but learn how to use it and there's no problem. The 2824 in general, will be more reliable.

I've never owned a superocean heritage but from what I hear, I think they are known to be a very good rep.

Thanks Reeder.....what you have said pretty much echoes what I have read from others, hence my hesitance to start my rep life with a chrono. Considering the SOH as want a large watch. Trying to find out what are considered so called 'SUPER REPS'. I know there are some good Hublot Big Bang and AP Royal Oaks but to be honest if I start rocking one of those my friends will either know straight away they are fakes or think I have lost the plot as they are £10k + watches!!

Fair enough but to be honest, if you would actually prefer the chronograph model then I am not someone who says don't because it's your first rep, just learn how to use it properly, it's really not hard...! But also, like I said, there's a higher chance that the chronograph movement will have a problem or develop a problem than the non chrono so just be aware of that.

One of my all time favourite watches is the superocean but not heritage and that is a very good replication in the more expensive versions.

The chrono is neither here nor there for me. The simplicity of the SOH is what attracts me to it. Thanks for your advice. May look at getting a different chrono in a few months, maybe a Graham or the likes.
