I'm considering buying the Asian SFSO with Leather Strap. My questions are on the leather strap. Are these leather strap water resistance? Are these true leather or rubber? I think that true leather doesn't water proof unless it comes from Prada or some expensive brand. Leather would smell if it gets too much water into it. Please advise. Thanks!

I don't think they are going to be very waterproof, but there are a number of sources for nice waterproof leather straps out there. I do have to say I bought an SFSO from TWP and it came on one of the nicest most supple rep straps I have ever seen. Good luck on your hunt.
Buy the fish with the SS band plus an extra leather strap,so if you want to wear youre watch into water you can have it on ss and not destroy the leather one.
