With a 6.75” wrist, I’ve never been a huge Breitling fan. Just not my style - I love them, just not on me. The Navitimer series has given me a change of heart. While visiting a Breitling showroom just to kill time, the salesman had me try on the Navitmer 8. At 41mm it wears smaller than my 40mm IWC Mark XVIII. Lug to lug, it is smaller. It takes up similar space as my six digit Rolex GMT II. As an IWC Pilot fan, I was instantly smitten with the Breitling. It wears naturally and comfortably.

I was delighted to see a replica show up at my TD just a few days later and a few weeks after that it was on my wrist.

While I was only acquainted with the genuine for about ten minutes, this rep, at first examination, seems an excellent reproduction. Looks and feels terrific. Even the strap is decent. Below is a shot of the gen, and the rep. I’ll let you decide which is which!

From a quality standpoint, I am very impressed with this rep. The bezel turns with just the right amount of tension, the rotor is quite, it just feels solid. I wish I could compare it to the gen side by side but based on my ten minutes with the gen, and the one photo I snapped, it appears to be a terrific reproduction.

Tells? Perhaps the strap. The gen strap was somehow both soft and tough. The rep strap is soft but I don’t think it will last. Nonetheless, a very good strap as reps go.

I don’t usually wear reps to work but I’ve worn this to the office the last two days and have no desire to take it off.

Quite decent design. I guess I'm more of a kind for the Avenger design. But the black finish is still appealing.

Hello guys, I want buy this beautiful watch. I hesitate between the model with the "dial" in black and the other in metal.... But I see that on "intime" the black version is in DLC and on "puretime" it is indicated PVD. Who says the truth? I guess it's PVD. So why a Trust dealer lies on the specs ?!!!!!

The terms PVD and DLC are always getting mixed up. I suspect it is more of a translation issue for the person editing the website. DLC is semi-transparent and PVD is opaque. I spend a lot of time in China, I see the translation issue a lot. Nobody is lying.

Thanks and by your experience. This PVD/DLC has a good durability ? or its better to choose the "metal version" ?

Seems ZF are doing a nice job on these breitlings. Seen a few reviews and pics which look rather appealing.
