Has anyone had this rep model? I’m considering it. This will be my first model from TF factory. I’m curious about the date numbers on the rep: the numbers are very well centered in the display box on the gen, but the numbers on the rep appear to be off-centered to the right of the display box. Not sure if that’s just an issue with the photo angle though.
And if you know; what kind of life span can I expect from the A2824 movement?

That's a weird question that comes from a member of 10 years. The lifespan of a movement mostly depends on how you maintain it. If you treat it well and maintain a full service periodically say every 5 years, a well-developed and evolved movement like A2824 can last for generations. And if you think it's not worth servicing a rep Asian movement, swapping with a new A2824 wouldn't cost you much.

Thank you. Although a long term member, I’ve only owned 3 rep models. One of them broke and it’s been sitting dead for years. Maybe I can replace the movement.

I’d also like to know about the lume on this Navitimer model, if anyone who’s owned it knows about that - and about the date numbers.

I had one a while ago…
The watch is not bad at all in my opinion .. but i can’t say how accurate to gen
Try to get a discontinued one from zf .. should be better due to the dial
The Lume is very bad on the TF one … but i have heard the Lume on the gen is also not the best ..
