I have a breitling with asian 7750 movement. Range on these like mine was 250-350USD. I'm seeing dealers selling same exact watch but 21j automatic for $100.00

Is there a definitive difference between the 2 movements? i don't have a watch with J21 in it yet.

Yes your chronos won't work properly on a 21J. They run but the stuff they track does not match the markings.

2 entirely different breeds. the 21j uses faux chronos and the large chrono hand is always running as where the 7750 actually has the secs running in the subdial

Then I should only buy j21 in non chrono watches. If I could buy 1 dozen watches wholesale mix or match my choice what should I get?

My point is it depends on what you like. What are your preferences. Asking a vague question like that or expecting someone to tell you what they like is not going to work. Some people like this but it doesn't mean you will.

All that will happen is you'll get a lot of 'ideas', most of which you won't like because you DO have somethng in mind. Otherwise you wouldn't have asked the original question.

Honestly, your going to get what you pay for. A faux chronograph is nothing more but extra useless needles on the face of a watch. Sure you can advance the day of the week needle manually to see what day of the week your on, but who uses that?

Don't bite! That is this guys opinion.

Ok, well we've all seen the tag heuer carrera in a j21? I can have those pretty low with an exhibition caseback. Do you or anyone else know if the chrono will work on that? I just asked dealer a few hours ago so I'm waiting on their response.

no 21j watch is going to have a working chrono... the movement is not a chrono movement, it just dosent do it, no matter what watch you put it in

I had a guy try to sell me a "swiss" eta movement on a watch at near $500.00 when I said that was too high he came back later and his boss says he can knock 150 bux off of the price all of a sudden like.

Silver Tag Heuer Grand Carrera calibre 17 with J 21 movements and see through back, rotor says tag heuer. Date works but not the dials. In bulk Tag Heuer GC calibre 17 RS 2 black/white for 12 $300 each. Price to go lower if ordering more in bulk. These are what I inquired about today. oh yeah and free boxes with either order.
