my ad gave me 130.00 price for the dark blue buffalo but couldn't order it for me because i didn't have the serial numbers for them to send in with the order. breitling won't fill the order with out good serial numbers. if you find this strap let me know.

I contacted Breitling UK regarding the retail price of the 22m Navitimer calf leather strap. The reply i recieved was as follows.

Thank you for your enquiry. A calf leather strap retails at £75, the full grain croco retails at £275. For replacement straps please contact your local Breitling stockist.

My local AD has a shoebox full of Breitling straps. Unfortunately most are 18, 20 or 24mm. The girl there was pretty anxious to sell to me, even assuring me that the blue 22mm leather strap would look great on my black navi. Didn't sound like they needed a SN as I told them I wasn't wearing the watch, and that didn't stop them from trying to sell to me.

Most? :?: Are you holding out on us? :D

I found a place with the prices (US$) I posted above. They also advertised just the deployant for $200. From what I have been able to search out so far these prices seem to be in line. I really want to get the deployant strap but can't justify paying more for the strap than the watch.

Can anyone with a gen strap w/tang answer a few questions? Will it fit a 7 3/4 wrist? Maybe a better question is what size wrist do you have and what hole on the strap do you use? I find I have to use the last or next to last hole on gen straps and I hate it. Is their enough "tail" left when using the last hole on the strap to extend from the tang for the leather loop to hold?

I sourced a New 22mm gen. black calf strap from Austria for around 56 GBP (i think), and also a New gen Tang buckle for 15 GBP from Italy. Both found when scouring the Bay.

Not wearing the Navi right now, but I'll check the length - I do think it'd fit pretty thick wrists as I use the 2nd hole (from the lug end) and my wrist is under 7".

I'll check the suppliers later - when I'm not working!!

Next time I'm there I'll check if they still have it. Problem is that $150 cdn + 15% tax = $172.50. Shipping properly will be another $15. So, $187.50 + Paypal fees. Sounds way too pricey!

copy/paste of another post I wrote:

"I bought mine original strap from an official distributor here in Spain and they didn't ask me about my breit or my serial number Wink don't worry about that.

You have 2 kind of breits strap: for deployment buckle and for classic buckle. They are DIFFERENT! the deployment one haven't got holes!! both of them cost 100 EUR in Europe, I think that it cost 100 $ around the world.

Then you have two buckles: "normal" buckle cost 20 EUR and deployment buckle 180 EUR (official breitling prices).

If you will buy them, try on ebay. I bought my gen deployment at 130 EUR shipping include to Spain Wink and I have see gen straps at 60 EUR + shippment. But see first if they are for deplyment or for buckle!"

Extreme taxes in Canada ?

Don't forget that we give about half of what we ear to the government and most of the people don't even make 15$/hours.

Add the 15% sale taxe. And then we have the School tax, Home tax, City taxes, Watter tax, etc...

So your 150$ strap cost us over 300$ in salary... Funny isn't it ?

yes, it is extreme. are you telling me they pay no taxes at all except 15% sales tax or they pay that plus all of those other things? if that is true i would leave in a heart beat.

Nope, first its about 30% of your earnings in income tax. Then 15% of whatever you spend for sales tax and GST. Gas and alcohol is heavily taxed. I pay $4000 per year in property tax. Yearly auto licensing and emissions taxes. Believe me, we are taxed to death!
