So, I had a bad crown on my EVO. I contacted a bunch of dealers and some friends in the gen business and came up with absolutely nothing. So finally one day I asked Clark Watch parts on the bay and he got me a gen crown after a few months of waiting. But it came with no crown tube and it would not mate with the rep tube so I was stranded for awhile. I searched and asked again for the tube to no avail. So I pondered and looked into my watch parts drawer and tried everything, still nothing. Then yesterday I found an old Rolex quartz canal street sub sitting in my junk pile and tried to put the crown on and it fit absolutely like a glove. So, out with the old tube and in with the new.

The gen crown is formed so much better than the rep and I am glad I spent the money on it.

So now I am presented with a whole new problem. The rep stem of the A7750 won't fit this crown. After looking around I found there are 2 types of 7750 stems in Swiss. There is a tap 6 and a tap 10. I have a 2892 stem and it is a tap 10 so I threaded it on and it fit the gen crown so I ordered a tap 10 (7750) stem from Otto, we will see if it fits. Cross your fingers for me please. :D

I should note, that this crown was supplied by Clark Watch parts as mentioned. I claim it is a gen but who really knows now days. It is finished impecably nonetheless.
