Just noticed that. Is hat the only one they make in titanium? Of the endurance line I mean.Yes sadly not out yet but in titanium it would be a nice addition
I’ve only seen this one and the orange/yellow dial Ironman in Ti…would be nice if they made them…I mean they made the poly plastic versions which I thought would be harder to get right than jus TiJust noticed that. Is hat the only one they make in titanium? Of the endurance line I mean.
Great to see you got this. Have you received the rep yet? Would be a great addition to the forum for a review of BLS version of this particular Breitling case shape and model. BLS is like TF as far as I know with more insight and info needed. I appreciate the pictures and from what I see the AR and case shape looks decent. What are your thoughts? I think TF, from memory, is another that made this style (2017 or 18 revamp) so curious to hear your thoughts.I don’t think one is made. I’m in the process of trying to Franken one myself on one of the OF reps.
That said, BLS makes a rep of the Superocean Ironman watch, the one that preceded this. Just ordered one, got QC pics, and should have it in a week or so.
This is the Gen:
This is the qc of the one I ordered:
I got off to a late start, really didn't do much exercise until I was well into my mid-40s. A new job, bad relationship ending, and a lot of free time and nervous energy got channeled into exercise. It doesn't take long; I started running and did my first marathon in a year, first (short distance) triathlons a few months later, and my first IM after 3 years.Cool. Shame about the missing B but I can totally see if you're an Ironman guy this would be a good, solid chunk of a watch and still a "Breitling" instead of a normal plastic one especially for the reasons you mentioned being 2019 release and for not that much cash. Pretty good memento I'd say. You're going to love the Endurance Pro. I wish they did make the Ironman version for you. I need to get fit, lol. I doubt I'd ever be able to do an Ironman. I'm not getting any younger.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. I'm actually in just about the same exact situation so this resonates. I've been teetering a bit for a while. Got a GT mountain bike (I bought it cuz grew up with GT being the shit) to start biking. The eating thing is also tricky, probably the hardest part. I just met a guy who does some Spartan race stuff too that I can glom on to. You just may have helped me push aside any BS and motivated me to Just Do It! We shall see.I got off to a late start, really didn't do much exercise until I was well into my mid-40s. If you're interested in getting your feet wet (pun intended), there are plenty of shorter distance triathlons that people do just to see how they like them. The training isn't as hard as you might think for the short, recreational ones, and the health benefits of swimming, biking, and running are immeasurable.
I think the shortest ones..."Super Sprint" or "Try a Tri" (there are a few different companies and organizations that put them on) are a couple hundred meters swimming, any stroke (lots of weaker swimmers back stroke, it's only a few lengths of a pool), a few miles on a bike (maybe 3-5 or so?), and a 1 mile run/walk. Folks do it well into their 70s, and it doesn't take much special equipment...a bathing suit, a cheap Huffy bike from Wall Mart, and a pair of shoes will get you started.
If nothing else, finish one, and you'll have bragging rights as a "triathlete" for the rest of your life, lol.
Putting it together might be a workout itself, lol.I also must admit to being lazy…bought a mountain bike at the end of the pandemic and it’s still sitting in the box to put together in the garage, things got in the way (excuses).
First step is this weekend put it together and a short ride…baby steps
