Breitling colt skyracer ..Fantasy model

Hi

since the release of the colt skyracer I nearly on several occasions pulled the trigger on the gen but £1600 for quartz and not many rave reviews I always decided against it

however..I went in search of a rep and it seems no TD ( to what I could find ) seemed to rep the skyracer model

so I was looking through DH gate when I found what looked like the colt sky racer face with the bezel of an avenger blackbird ...all for £50 ..so against my better judgement I ordered it

it arrived today and it’s automatic not quartz and the band was pretty awful so I swapped it out for a French military marine nationale strap and so far it seems to run ok ...I’ve had worse for £50

I'm strangely not bothered by this. At least it has some weight to it. I held the gen Skyracer the other day and I'm just not digging it. I compared the weight to the gen Avenger Bandit titanium I was wearing and it felt like I had a $2,000 Swatch in my hand. This actually looks kinda nice...I've seen a lot worse from 'fantasy' models.

It’s not made from plastic like I thought it would be if they were trying to rep the breitlight case but this is made out of heavy metal which gives it a bit more heft on the wrist

but I’m happy with it and will wear it in rotation with my others !
