The chronograph on my Breitling will not reset to zero. When I hit the reset button the dials reset to the One O 'clock position. Any thoughts on what might be wrong or how to fix it? :(

This happens to genuine Breitlings as well.
It is because the central second hand jumps back with high velocity. The hand gets loose after some time (if you use the chrono function frequently) and will jump too far. In your case to the one o' clock marker.
As the hand will reset clockwise from the area between 6 and 12 (that is when it resets to 1), I would suggest you to stop and reset it from the area between 12 and six - then it will reset counterclockwise. Maybe that will do the trick.

Cheers!

it can work for sure. one time my evo snapped back just a hair to the left of center on the 12 marker. i started the chrono and let it run until it passed the six mark and reset it. it had to snap clockwise when i did that and it fixed it perfectly. very good trick, i found out just by playing with mine. it has never reset off center again. :D
