Breitling canvas strap

Hi guys,

I own a gen Breitling avenger blackbird 44 and need a new strap.
The original is too expensive for me, so I came across this one:

Does anyone have experience with the quality of the rep canvas straps? Maybe even a comparison to the gen strap?

The canvas straps with rubber backing are decent. I would say they are better than the Rep leather straps. I wear a canvas on my Breitling Bandit Beater on weekends. The strap is actually better than I expect from a Rep strap

The one u linked is a terrible strap. Stiff and frays easily... I've got 3 sitting in a drawer from being swapped out. The strap tkingjr mentioned is not grey but greenish. Just fyi

Whether green or grey or black. These are all the same. Bottom rubber Top canvas, just like the gen?!

The one mentioned is used in conjunction with a deployant clasp. The blackbird u posted is on a tang buckle, they are not interchangeable.

The original is also with tang buckle. I have on my Blackbird also a canvas and I like that very much. The original buckle I will make on the new band.
The link only brings me to the homepage of Ali Express.
What makes you think that tkingjr is talking about another strap than I showed in the link?!

I guess I was not clear. I looked at the straps in my parts box. The black and greyish (colors are not my specialty) are the straps from my blackbird orders and lool like the ones on the Intime link with a buckle. The Bandit strap does go with a deployant. I see now it is made differently as Madcap mentioned.

Hirsch makes a great canvas strap with a rubber backing . Maybe that would be a more reliable alternative to a chepa rep strap
