Hi guys, I have a Breitling Blackbird GF with A2824 movement and had a few issues, namely:
- Rotor Noise is horrendous: I have replaced the rotor with a replacement one from EBAY. Not much reduction in noise however.
- After the Rotor swap, watch worked for a few days but one day it was suddenly "dead" rotor spins but there is no action in the watch. I checked and the rotor is not loose
I am considering swapping the movement to either an ETA or an equivalent replacement and had a few questions:
- Does anyone else have the rotor noise issue? Would a gen ETA or replacement help with the noise?
- is the swap a "compatible" one? as in out with the old and in with the new?
It seems to be a lovely watch and I would like to revive it.
