There's a guy selling reps locally on Craigslist that he claims are made in Brazil. He's posting pictures of actual watches, not the studio photos on the gen sites, and they look decent. I like the idea of being able to see and hold the watch before buy it, but I've never seen anything about Brazilian replicas on here before. Anyone know anything about the quality, accuracy, etc?

TIA

I've read something about this. Don't remember details, but from what I remember, they were not as good as the Asian replicas, but there was another issue, the more common practice was to buy a stainless steel rolex, pull the movement and dial, throw another in it like a yuki, and have a skilled watchsmith in the cartel employ duplicate the watch in a precious metal and put the original dial and movement in it. Then they would sell both as gens and more than double their investment. Perhaps these watches were made with left over parts from this practice? I could not locate the article I read about this. Personally, I'd stick with M2M and TD's here. Safer then meeting a stranger with a few hundred dollars in cash in your pocket, and you know where the watch has come from and the overall quality. Let us know how it turns out if you don't take my advice and meet up with them.

That's a new one (Brazil made reps) on me and I highly doubt it has as much as a grain of truth TBH.
