I have been addicted to watches for 2 years now and thought it would be a fad and go away... now I'm here at RWI,I know 100% that my addiction is for life. Man, my wife is going to be pissed.

Anyways, I've been looking and researching 6 hours for a new love to wear on my wrist. My conclusion, the BPFF is my choice. However, I'm having annoying delayed issues from a dealer not on this forum who offers the BPFF with an ETA 2836 for $700.00. But I want to try a dealer from here. I've checked TS, Toro, pure-time.com, BK, InTime, etc. And cannot find anyone offering an ETA. Can I get some assistance from someone who has more experience.

I really hope this is not taken like a noob just asking who sells the best blah blah.... I'm serious about finding my own answers first, but I'm a little frustrated.

As far as I know, the noob BPFF does not come with a factory fitted Swiss ETA 2836. I have confirmed this with my own dealer who is not a TD around the boards.

Most people, me included, will recommend that the Chinese-made 2836 will be very sufficient for your needs. It is affordable, a highly replicated and reliable movement, and those are the reasons they are usually used in the super reps of most watches.

If you are really down on your luck and it breaks down, it is not an uphill task seeking a replacement to be fitted in, or asking your local watchsmith to have a go to repair it.

Hi, if You click on the movement tab on Toro´s site You will have the genuine sellita option for about $650. That´s as good as it gets. Th strap is small for 6.5 wrists, You will need Torx T3 drivers to remove the hex-screws for changing the strap.

The one with the Asian movement from Toro

The Noob FF isn't available with an ETA movement as mentioned above. Your choice is Asian clone or gen Sellita.

As this is such a nice rep, I went Sellita in mine and it is noticeably better than the majority of clones I've had (which are all better than the "gen" ETAs I've had), but only you know if it's worth the extra money...

The Sellita is a very good movement on par with the ETA 2836. I believe what one has to ask themselves before they buy "is this watch going to be a keeper, or is it one that I'm going to flip right away"? I realize that it's a difficult question to answer sometimes, but if you really want one and think that it's going to be around for a while and not a C&R, I would opt for the Sellita. I have a RG model, and it was a catch and release from the previous owner. I had it probably a month and the keyless works screwed up, couldn't wind or set the time. I sent it to my watchsmith along with an ETA 2836 that I had and he transplanted the movement. Luckily, I had a movement on hand as a new one was over 200 USD. Even though it's more expensive, the Sellita is a good investment over the long haul.
