Bp smpc v gen

Ive had the gen smpc blue for a while and thought I'd try the bp version just to compare. Overall I think its pretty good but there are some flaws. I'll put some pics up and see if you people can tell the difference?

How thick is the rep. compared to the Gen? that was an issue for years with these due to the caseback. can you measure?

Besides the clasp I don’t see any significant differences, maybe the lume doesn’t last the same as the Gen?

Mate, short clasp, wrong cgs, this is OMF/JHF not BP.

sorry noob here, now i noticed it.

Inner cut. Omf cgs cover a crown, once you see the omf cgs you cannot make it unseen. It is visible on a 1st pic.
Also bp has a crystal with the strong blue ar, omf ar is almost colourless. Actually crystal is the only decent thing in omf.

I see cut out around crown is different but clasp is pretty much the same size apart from engraving not as deep. The definition in the end links is a big tell to me and also the markings on the insert are too white compared to silver on gen

My supplier is adamant its bp factory. On searching google I found a repgeek article that seems to back this up.

I recently bought one M2M which was I was told was a BP version, however the clasp is stamped 1671/751 while the SEL are stamped 816

I've ordered a micro-adjusting clasp for it anyway, but curious now as to which version it actually is - anything in the pic below which gives it away?

That looks the same as mine with cut out around crown and end links also look the same

1515/816 clasp and 816 sel is bp
1617/751 clasp and 816 sel is omf (this is fantasy bracelet btw)
Mkf replicated a new bracelet - 1515/816 clasp code and no code on sel.

In the evening I'll post the photos of omf cgs.

All my crsmpc are in watchsmith, but here are some photos taken in past, gen on top of omf

Next to the cut out visible from the top - check the squarred and massive cgs

Brushing of omf is not even close to gen/mkf or even bp.

I am fairly certain that once you open the watch you will see a black balance wheel which is omf fantasy

Wow, I have 3 year old bp and the cgs are much closer to gen (sorry), so they might just dropped the focus. What clasp code is yours?
