Haven't heard much about BP, or seen much on the titanium used in Reps.

Has anyone got any experience with either? - or where I can read up.

Is it really Grade 5 Titanium, and how does it hold up?
Are there any known flaws I should be aware of with a BP Planet Ocean?

Where your daughter is
Hey there, I've had two of the BP titanium reps. I had one that I kept pristine and the other which was a beater and well, pretty scratched up. I sold both in 2020 so you can probably find my sales posts for pictures. There are two versions. One is the older or original version that I bought new. Not sure how long it was in production but it didn't have a ceramic bezel. It was a very blue painted over a shiny bezel. It looked great to me. But I think people complained it wasn't ceramic and TD's would even send you a ceramic bezel replacement part and they updated (not necessarily an upgrade to me) the watch to have a ceramic bezel with grey paint for the numbers which could chip or scrape off. The beater watch was the one with the ceramic bezel and only had a small piece of a number come off. I would say it is NOT a problem. The other looked very shiny and blingy which was great for me but I don't know how "liquid metal" looks on gens so it could be very blingy on those as well.

Since we're reviewing... Faults: The AR had a greenish tint. It worked well but was definitely a green tint. Kind of strange but the blue did help negate that somewhat. The rep rubber strap was fantastic. Another fault was the thickness. Wore excellent for a 42mm with stubby lugs but a 20mm band with almost 17+ mm of thickness? It was comically thick. The gen was not much better, maybe 16mm thick, that's it.

With all that said, thanks for indulging my nostalgic review. I thought they were great watches and the blue was great with the titanium. I would be surprised if you were still able to get them anymore as I think they came out in 2015 but you can check with TD's. I know one of the guys I sold one of my to sold it about a year later so who knows if you can hunt those people down and ask to buy them, lol.

Titanium PO was done by the BP and V6F.
BP is closed, GM and OR are successors. GM hasent repped any Omega I think, OR had repped newest models but not the Titanium PO.
Possibly my best advice would be - talk to Andrew/Trusty and see whether he has any BP Titanium's in stock or still can source them.

I am in the same boat as you are OP, great insight @shinynewbling25!
Yes I had the BP version in the bigger 45mm with an ETA 2824 version but I sold it (yep a chronic flipper)
I also remembered there were two versions, I had the one with the fading bezel (reason I sold it almost immediately back in 2015-2016 eons ago!)
Now I would like to re acquire one in 42mm with a real ceramic bezel, were you able to get one OP @Mightybenster ?
Share some images will you?

Ah yes pretty well said review, I too had the V1 from BP ordered it in Swiss 2836, hated it because it had a broken screw head and I was late to notice that the bezel wasn't ceramic, we got bamboozled with that one! sold it in about a month.

Yes it is still one of my greatest ever, I am also still looking to get a 42mm version but with a real ceramic bezel,

Titanium and blue always look good togther, Omega championed this combo of course!

Good luck OP!
