Just bought this 292:
http://www.timesshop.net/10311-pam292-panerai-radiomir-black-seal-black-dial-ceramic-lt-asian-6497

But want a rubber strap for it... Is this a 26mm width, and is it tapered at all ?
What dealer should I use for a reasonably priced "Officine Panerai" rep strap (and I'm talking about the OLD style Pam rubber - w text, not the new one with those chunky like bars which are weird looking.)

Thanks in advance !!!

I don't know, at this moment if threre is some rubber PAM strap for the lug 26mm of the Radiomir.
But I think the text Panerai rubber strap "modern" style IMHO doesn't fit a "vintage" style watch like the Radiomir.
Go better to a very simple and flat strap made of black leather.

Just my opinion

If you want to use it in water, try some nice kodiak leather, they do well in sea and normal water as well. They do not like chemicals, so avoid artificial pools :)

It's not necessarily that I want to use it in water.
I do plan on wearing at my work (shop) and sweat quite a bit in summer.
I just prefer rubber material straps instead of leather.
When dressing up (with my other watches) I generally wear alligator or alcantera....
Regardless of how it would look, does anyone have a line on Panerai rubber straps ?
(The Panatime site appears to all have Brushed or Polished buckles. That would look stupid - I need a PVD one !!)

Hey ALE,
I have looked and looked at the 292 models online. I returned this 292 I bought, considering a J series PIG from Noob Fac.
Question:
How would most describe the watch - as you have: vintage, not really sporty, traditional, military, etc ?
I tend to prefer more "sporty" watches - have a Lum-Tec Auto, Chopard Mille Miglia GTXL, AP Diver V3 on way - all on rubber straps (and alcantera.)
I'm not sure the Radiomir with its lugs will fit my style (though I am "partially" trying to not justify the purchase/save the money lol)
I just don't want to buy & never wear. I am also considering another AP Roo. Honestly - does a Radiomir not really fit with my other tastes - I've never seen one in person....
Regards my friend, thank you !!

Hi jpohl
The Radiomir has a look vintage, and IMO can wear classy and sometimes sporty depending on the strap. But never in the style of sporty that you mean.
You like more complicated watches and not a simple design watch like the Radiomir. IMO Radiomir doesn’t fit your taste and it could be a buy&never wear watch for you.
If you want a PAM you should consider a Chrono 162, 196, 326, 212, 253, a GMT like 088 or even a submersible like the PAM 243
