Hi all,

First off, I just bought the above mentioned watch and love it aesthetically, but it stopped working within a week. No more ticking. I don’t want to send it back to the trusted dealer because I don’t trust the mail and having it arrive. Does anyone fix reps in the US and would be willing to help? I’d obviously compensate whoever can help. Please let me know as this is discouraging since I dropped 550 dollars on this watch. Thanks in advance :)
Best,
Patrick

Try Google and see if there is any watchmakers where you live. Then reach out to them and see if they would work on a rep.

Don’t take this the wrong way if you are experienced with mechanical watches, but your post leaves many questions open in that regard (no mention of what you attempted to get it ticking again, for example...).

This watch is an Automatic self-winding watch. Sometimes, if they stop, they will not immediately react to shaking them.... (and vice versa: You have to shake them because they won't respond to only winding).
You do know that it's possible to manually wind it an Automatic, correct? Well, not all Automatics, but this one is manually windable. So, did you try that?

Again, not trying to be funny or anything like that. Just making sure you know the basics, because we can't know if you do. 😉

I tried manually winding it as well. I’ve done everything without taking the watch apart.

Alright. So it's really dead.

Considering you bought this only a week ago, you may be inclined to send it back to the TD, but personally, I would refrain from doing so. Returning a counterfeit watch is riskier than receiving it due to a higher chance of customs seizures by the Chinese.

Instead, I would try to arrange a local repair and have the TD pay for it. Of course, your TD will have to agree to such an arrangement.
