I have older (circa 2008) 177 replica. It has bluish tint of AR under some angles/lighting conditions. In my understanding this is not a gen like. Now, I am thinking to buy 176 replica and want to know if this situation is no longer the case. Sorry, if it is not making sense or wrong assumption to begin with.

Have you asked the dealers? I've noticed some of them will specify "Clear AR like gen" on the listings. Not sure if this is the case for the 176s though

My Noob 176 and 177 (mid 2013) have definitely colorless AR. No blue in there. I think this has been the case for years by now. You Can safely buy one.

Great! One more question if I may. How close decorated 6497 from 176 mimics gen movement? I understand this is super rep (thx Ale), but is it really that good?

I'm a fan of the h factory crystals. The new noob 176's are great for around 200. Before you sell yours make sure your mvt isn't swiss. Lot of older ones sometimes were or were swinese

Any of the latest pam reps have gen-like AR but not they are not as 'clear'. Easily noticeable under the sunlight side by side.

So how good decorated movement resembles gen 176 movement. I also on waiting list for Pam 634 and will supposedly know by September if I will get it. If not it is 176 for me.
