Hey, I searched and searched and couldn't find anything. I found some info, just not much. I did however find ONE guy with one on - when I manually searched the "post your vintage watch here section / post. (I looked through 67 pages of watches) I saw one guy with one.

Does anyone know any more about these? I looked at some of the TD's and no luck. Are they called Aqua Lung, or only some aqua lung have the No Rads on the dial? School me please.

I also read on another forum about (I think it was... DSN) ( dont know who that is)

Anyway... I was curious if some of you knowledgeable gents had some input. Thanks in advance.

Thanks again!!

I read somewhere about Blancpain switching to another kind of lume from the early Radium and Tritium to a more modern kind of luminous material on their Fifty Fathoms model. Cant recall where or when.............. it was not a biggy, just making a big thing about it. The only ones in danger were just the folks who applied it, and not the consumer. But it worked as ad copy, and folks bought it. Our TV sets and microwave ovens emit much more then that on a daily basis actually......................

Davidsen is DSN (he's a TD). And he does have the "No Rad" builds as well as other vintage Blancpain builds. I was recently about to purchase one of his vintage FF builds until I was able to purchase a Noob FF. He does have the vintage FFs in stock. I'm still debating getting one down the line (either the no rad or aqua lung)

+1 on DSN builds, they're amazing. I've not ruled out buying one of his Aqualung builds soon, but the No Radiation dial has never done anything for me.

I'd also love to mod a Noob FF to the new Aqualung dial...

I sent a message to Sead last night, Sad thing is it looks so much nicer then the DSN but will see. I may have to go DSN Aqua Lung!

I believe that you are comparing apples to oranges, It looks like the watch on Intimes site is the new contemporary Fifty Fathoms no Rad, the ones DSN sells are all vintage BP's.

I really like the old vintage BP's although there was a recent thread on RWG, some of the guys there don't seem to think that the DSN is very accurate. The advantage to those (DSN), there are so few of the old watches in the wild, and BP produced so many different variants, both Military and Civilian that most folks wouldn't know if a rep was a rep or gen. If one was nicely aged, it would be hard to tell. On the other hand, the contemporary Fifty Fathoms are pretty darn close to gen. I don't really see the no rad dial on the modern watches, why would it be relevant on a luminova dial? Suppose it's a marketing ploy by BP.

I will say, I have bought several watches from DSN, as well as some hard to find Panerai crystals. He's easy to deal with, promptly answers emails and his watches are pretty good.

I just like the Dial and the new version looks better to me. I understand one is vintage and the other modern. Will see what Sead says.

Since the Bathyscaphe is taking so long, this model might have to do.

Is the Tribute to Aqualung being repped as well? I adore my FF, it is without question the best rep of 2014-early2015.

Tribute to Aqua Lung is probably not going to be easy to rep. The open case back with decorated rotor is amazingly beautiful. I doubt the rep factories have the technology to replicate that currently.

My NOOB FF with No Radiations dial is on its way along with a BP Sea Dweller classic 16600, Hamilton is making a custom black cordura strap for the FF since my wrist is so big. Sead of course got me the watches and if you ask Sead nicely he can get you the NOOB FF No Radiations for $399. Make sure you tell him George/Thrasher sent you.

Just as a point of interest I looked at all the Puretime videos of this watch, CHRONO, Standard and no radiations (NR Is the one I have) and it seems they all use Allen (HEX) head screws on the bracelet less than 1.5mm. I used a Torx T4 as the T3 was to small!!!

I sent it to Tagfan who is doing my Sea dweller to repress crystal!
