Been looking at these two watches for a while now. Which one do you all prefer? Wondering if the Bentley is a little too "bling"..

I might be mixed up, but I was under the impression
Bentley ran a sub company called Breitling.
Breitling makes the blackbird and all other bentley watches ?

anyways I love the Bentley's (Breitling)...
don't own a single one, but I love em.

for me really depends on how you as a person look,
I look better w/ a low key sub or dj on my wrist.
When I'm a little older then I'll rock out the Breitling look.

The blackbird - I could see my self wearing as I am now though.
Had my eye on one for quite some time !

Breitling is the watch company. They have a line named Breitling For Bentley because they put Breitling clocks in Bentley car interiors. It's a marketing thing.

Most of the Bentley versions I've seen have the kinda "bling" style bezel which I believe is mostly diamonds. Going the rep route, sometimes too much of this "ice look" screams out fake and was wondering what all your views were. Although I do like both models, the Blackbird seems to have more of a conservative look yet nice and bulky.

im sure hes comparing the bentley 6.75 to the blackbird.. similar watches in design but big size difference.. both have the big date feature.

I like the bentley mostly because of the size... a stock bentley isnt "bling" ... bling is diamonds! ;)

+1 I would think so, as well. The size difference is huge, and there is a slight price difference. Do you want the larger, more costly one, or the smaller, cheaper one? Personally, I like the larger watches, but this comparison goes against that for me. I like the Blackbird. But if I ever bought a Bentley, then I would probably go for the 6.75. Good luck.

I would not touch the blackbird with a 10 foot pole. I have had 4 in my hands and 2 of them have problems with the date at the 12 and 3 of the 4 have bad pearls.
I do not like the finish on the blakcbird either and it is simply not on par with the recent releases of Breitling Replicas.
I'd say save your money and buy something different. I see other people who are voting their preference but I know that only a couple own them, I can speak with experience of having 4 in my hands.. opps.. realized that I have a 5th in my hands right now... but it is for one of Honts customers and I am shipping it back to hont for him because the date cannot be set by the crown.

Really D? My experience was that other than the incorrect caseback it was very well done. The brushed thing was not for me but I didn't find it to be sub par.

daytona4me - Are there any specific models you recommend for the recent releases of Breitling replicas?

This is going to be one of those "it depends" type answers. If you've always loved the subtlety and "manliness" of the Blackbird and is a fan of brushed stainless, then Blackbird it is. I've always thought of it as a more upscale Steelfish. But as D4M said, the date change is a problem area and there's a chance that the pearl will not be centered.

If this is going to be your daily wear watch and the Breitling doesn't look out of place in your work environment, then go for it. If not, it may cause your boss to think about withholding your raise because he thinks you're being paid too much, it may cause your customers to think they're paying too much for your product etc.

The Bentley GT is a very nice looking unit and is fully polished. It's the more or less the same size as the Blackbird. The Bentley GT Racing is the same watch but with with a brushed/polished bracelet and detailing. The color of the day/date wheel is too red and may not align correctly on some units but it's a beautiful replica.

A BCE may be a good compromise for you.
