Blackbird vs. BCE

I'm having a tough choice choosing between the blackbird and the bce.... seeing as there's no AD for breitling here I kinda have to make my choice based on pics and the opinions on the board (i.e. quality of the rep.


So which one is more faithful the the gen and just FEEELS more right?

Which would you choose if u could ONLY choose one?

I am picking the BCE.

Blackbird is not a bad rep but the BCE is just better IMHO.

The former suffers QC problem on the bezel (uncentered pearl) but the movement is definitely one of its kind (running second at 3 plus big date). Caseback is also wrong for this Blackbird.

Meanwhile, the updated BCE (with correct datewheel) is really spot on. In fact, if budget allows, go and get it upgraded with ETA movement. Both watches are similar/the same in size.

As much as i love the Blackbird, the BCE is the better rep. It is better finished, and leaves you feeling like you have a gen. The Blackbird is somewhat disappointing in that respect, IMHO.

hmmm... looks like i'll be grabbing the bce....

the bracelet on the blackbird looks so unique... but if the bce is the better quality and feeling rep they i'll grab that instead.

when is the fat date font coming back on the bce? does anybody have it in stock? ruby told me the factory is out and don't know when they will get more if ever.

ok, i just emailed her. as soon as i get a answer i will post it. i also asked if it will be better to ship after the olympics. we will see.
