So, I need a "dressy" strap for my 210. I'm about to place an order with The Watch Boys for a black gator strap. Has anyone had any of their gator straps?

What does everyone prefer, black with white stitching or black with black stitching. I'm worried that the black/black stitch color scheme will be too plain....

For 210, I prefer black gator with contrast white stitch. The watch dial is already plain, and contrast stitch lifts it up a bit, without overpowering, IMO :)

I briefly had black croc 26/26 rep strap that comes standard with 217 MM rep, on my 210 - although not even near the quality of WB's one, the combo simply - rocked!

cheers,

I prefer black with white stitching but I do believe the black stitching looks the best in non-watch people's eyes.

I think Black with Ivory is the best choice!

Have you also looked at Simona's Gator straps? so so sweet. My friend who owns a gen 111H bought it the other week and he says his 111 looks like it's worth million bucks haha

There you go,

I actually want one as well, but the exchange rate is a bitch, so I am looking for a used one from CONUS seller...

I don't own a gen Pam ;) If I did own a gen Pam, I would treat it with one of these.

I love the contrast. So for me it's black with light stitching.

Thanks, guys. Black/white it is.

I'll take a look at the Simona gators, too, Joe. Thanks for the tip. 8)

$300 for a gator strap from Simona?!?!?!?!?! Is it 3x as nice as the gators The Watch Boys sell? 2x as nice as something SMAT whips up? I'm betting probably not. Damn, I can't pay that much, I just spent all my money on the watch!

I think the Simona straps are worth the money. Definitely one of my favorite straps. Great leather, very nice buckles and very high construction quality. About 180 euro for a custom order and a little more for one with rolled edges. Definitely not cheap, but I buy Simona straps for my reps

I also have OEM crocs which are decent, but thin and really kinda small at the regular 115/75 length.

For a thick, gorgeous croc strap, I really recommend Simona. They turn up occasionally on risti.com forum, but they're usually snapped up quickly.

haha I agree with you on the price - but also remember that you're dressing up your gen ;) Look for second hand market on Risti, sometimes you can find a decent condition for as low as 200.
