Black Bird quick set date...??

Please pardon my ignorance...

Just got the Black Bird from D4M and it looks great...

One question I have for the current BB owner: Please tell me how to do the quick set date from the crown...I don't seem to be able to do it...

Just replied to your email about 20 minutes ago (went to get ice cream)

You should have a 2 clicks while you pull the crown out, first one for date set, second for minute set. Try to advance the date by hour (run through a whole day and see if it changes) if it does.. the crown stem is not catching the ?????? damn... forgot the term...

If it simply does not work... you have my address.. send it to me and I'll have a new one to you right away.

Guys.. If I'm wrong on the date issue.. please correct me..

set the time to about 5:30 before you start messing with it. if it is anywhere near the 12:00 mark it will cause a gear clash and make a big boo boo. :shock:

Yap...I have done all of the above and have taken all the precautions...

The crown just turn freely at 1st pull out crown position in both direction...Everything else work as they supposed to be...No problem with date change at midnight when advancing the hour hand...

From the responses I got, it is apparent that the 1st crown pull out position is for the quick set date...
