please forgive the crapy pics, but i'm not a photographer...
my wrist is 7,5 inches / 19 cm
the thing is really impressive, the weight is much more than any other pam gen or rep i had
circa 250 grs / 9 onces
the front :
the crown guard and the lever are massive, and the action of the crown is soft
the sandwich dial (i choose the "vintaged") have a nice safran/brown look "patina"
hours, minutes, seconds hands = nice look too
the characters : i'm not an expert, but look close to the original for me...
the glass : mineral with AR coating looks thick with a nice distortion (difficult to catch by pics)
the bezel : well, i would not say this is the weaker part of the watch, but it's seems to be more "fragile"
than an another sub...the action is soft with a nice click
the back :
massive & well done
the strap : 26/27mm large, 5mm thick, butter soft, a very nice one (actually the better one i had on a rep !!!)
the buckle : large modern 26mm (i will soon change it for a GPF oldschool version)
luminova : hands & dial need to be relumed
acuracy : the movment keep good time for now ! (only few hours)
i must admit, i'm in love !!! since i knew the brand & the historical models i dreamed to posess & wear a big egypt !!!
my dream come true & i would like to public thanx all who did it & angus at puretime for having good care of my order...
for a microscopic fraction of the original, and even of the reissued one by OP, you have a chance to approach the myth
without any frustration
i have seen in flesh at OP museum the big egypt and the one straped on me for now more than a day is the better rep i ever had
i'm sure that all of our vintager experts will process this base onto a perfect replica at museum quality, but for the moment
i'm enjoying mine like a young boy with is first bicycle the morning of christmas !!!
