Hi friends,
I am starting a new Egi project ( what else ? )
Got a nice case from MMW, a dial was also included.
The engraving was very shallow, so I decided to mod it without any engravings.
First step was to lay it in acetone for 24 hours, it came out like this here

After that, I put one layer of white primer on it

I’ve made it dry with a simple lighter, after that some treatment with Tamiya weathering master

Than, a simple cup of espresso does the trick

Several trys with soaking into espresso, drying with the lighter, some drops of espresso here and there, drying again and so on.

Took a single layer of HolioCornolios famous lume to a backplate and put the whole stuff together

This pic was taken after 10 seconds under a 40 Watt bulb with the dial on top of the backplate

Without darkness, just glowing like a torch

This ist the unmodded case where it will be installed later

I have still not decided which movement I want to use. I have a Molnija 3602 and a Cortebert 592.
A see through caseback is also there, the bronze ring for the movement ring is there as well, just some minutes at the lathe are left

I guess I will go for the Cortebert 592, what is your opinion ?
