is there a better movement for my Pam250 than the asian one without breaking the bank. i just got it and it stopped already and won't start. Lay said to send it to florida for repair but I don't want this to turn into a repeating thing.

I'd give it at least one chance at repair. Some of them get repaired once and work perfectly for years. It's not a repeating thing if you have to have it sent in once. Short answer is, unless you can change the movement yourself, No, there is no cheap alternative.
yeah, I probably will. I just can't imagine what happened to it. Never wore it and then it worked for an hour and stopped.
