Wanting to take it to the beach. I know I will have to grease the seals, but does the button need anything sealed? Has anyone tested how far it will go (depth wise)?

Have the watch water pressure tested.
Look for any air bubbles.
If you get bubbles, grease the seals.
Test again...more bubbles?... replace the seals.
Test again...More bubbles?...don't wear it in the water.
I don't know 100% if the bezel button needs to be sealed.
I'm guessing not...why would it need to access the movement interior?
