Best plated Daydate?

I'm kind of new on this RWI site and would appreciate any help.

I once bought a plated Daydate from a US-Seller and wasn't very happy.
Now i want to buy one of these two watches;

Are they really plated? Something is concerning me.

And i can't decide either wether to buy both Clean Versions for about 450 or one of the watches but a plated one.
