Thanks for quick reply mate. Anything that is in size range I mentioned, no bronze, gold or ceramic and that is good ootb. Basically smt like 389, 904 or 683.

None of the 3 models you mentioned are super-reps. 2 submersibles and one Luminor Due model. Although there were a lot of 44mm super reps, most of them are no longer being made with the exit of Noob and the closure of H-factory. The only model that's still being produced and is a certified super rep is the PAM111 from Noob.

If you're asking regarding the PAM111, it's pretty easy to explain. Volume. All of its parts are common with many other PAMs, albeit with different combinations (PAM177 has the same movement and dial, but with a titanium case, PAM005 shares the same case and movement but with a different dial, etc). That prompted Noob to purchase the parts in bulk. Not to mention they already recovered their investment in the early days of the PAM111 N-series (2010). Then the case material is steel, relatively cheap to process. Compared to VSF, who makes models which are fairly new, with relatively uncommon parts except for the movement. Not to mention they probably have not recovered their R&D investment yet on things like the Carbotech cases (which are more process-intensive compared to steel).

Why didn’t they update the movement of the 005&177 to the same level as the v4+ of the 111 (incablock look etc.).

I don't know if they updated the PAM005 but I don't see the point either as it's a closed caseback model. As for the PAM177, there's no point either as the PAM177 is not being made anymore.

What’s wrong with the new 42mm ones?

I have the pam 389 which is big at 47mm. The new pam683 is a 42mm version which is very slightly thicker than gen Dont stress on the super rep thing. The Pam's are so uncommon they are not getting called out. I like the 389 but would like it more in a smaller size.

683 looks really cool, I just wonder is it waterproof?

If you’re concerned about waterproofing, I would strongly recommend getting the watch serviced/waterproofed by someone locally. You can’t trust the waterproofing out of the factory for more than a splash of rainwater.
