Best PAM36

Hi..
So who sells the best PAM36?? I am more interested with regards to the crown, CG and correct mvt and caseback.... dial can be relumed....
Is it the one from ruby, DSN or Angus?? Trevor sells one too... any good?? Thanks.

Well... For the price, Ruby's is EXCELLENT. I have tried Trevor, he has ugly new version and got a refund on that piece a long time ago. This one with fat crown + CG are pretty hard to source these days. However, this model has flaws which include a slightly smaller marina militare text on the dial and panerai. You need some polishing on the movement too to make it look more like B series pam.

Yes, the gears on the power reserve barrel (2 most visible gears from the back).

You can contact her directly, the last time I heard this factory is not making this piece anymore.

Any picture of the Angus' offer?

I like to have one with the correct CG........ slightly curved at the top??... crown and dial can be fixed....

Then Davidsen is your best bet. You have to pay premium on this one though... Case availability will be from early March. I am getting a Ti case from him too. But the lever is too loose like other PAM reps. You have to do something about this CG lever on davidsen's piece. As a bonus, lug is not easily stripped on this piece.

I find DSN's cases have shorter lugs or the lug holes are placed to close to the case..... you cannot use too thick straps on them.. The CG looks good... but aften does not sit flush with the case... but that can be modded..

I think that his Ti case is well made. I have it on my hand. Nonetheless, you can get Ruby version then mod the CG too. The crown on Ruby version is thick (2.0mm).

That was true for some of DSN's older SS cases. However, he is now using some "normal" SS cases for his reps, too. I've not had one of his Ti cases, so I can't say for sure if it's the same as his older SS case or not. Regardless, I never had any problems with DSN's older SS cases with any straps that were less than 5mm thick. I used lots of Mario Paci and Giovanni e Figlio straps with no issues...

Swiss ETA6497-1, correct pin height, fat crown.

DSN Ti cases will not take thick straps. My 177 will not accept any of my SC straps.

I can put a pretty thick strap on my DSN without any problems- His overall look and feel is by FAR the most gen like- even if macro photography reveals slight inconsistencies in dial positioning- People rarely pull out a microscope when you're wearing the watch.
