Best thing is to do your due diligence and check ALE's PAM guide, TD special offers etc and I'm sure you will find the best PAM under $300 for you.
There are nice PAM that are 42 mm, the 512 for instance but the 44's doesn't wear as big as many other brands IMHO.

t's true what everyone says about researching. It helps you become more knowledgeable on Pams and also helps you appreciate it that much more onece you order and receive your watch.
Read Ale's guide and you won't go wrong. 000 H-fac right now is one of the best and It's within your price range $200. Good luck doing research.
The best PAM out there was the one I met a while back! Curvy, shinny, perfect size almost PERFECT!! Definitely the best!!

The "best PAM" is something elusive because it will mean no date, no small seconds at 9, no display caseback, no chronograph, the simpleat imaginable dial.... the less there is on the original the less there is to copy.
The "other best PAM" is the one You own and like most, in my case it´s the cheapest as well, if I was radical and knew it before could have saved the money on all others (which is only half true as I love and use them as well, just for other occasions).
Go to Toros and Intimes sites, choose the ones You like, than view some pics of those from members, crossread Ale´s guide and go for the one chosen. It may, but it does not have to be a 111 V3.

And "Mybestpam" Nº2, not because it´s the most gen-like as it hasn´t even been released but it´s lightweight titanium and it´s functional as it´s totally waterproof
(silicon-greased crown gasket and backcase o-ring, done) - and it´s pure fun to use it like this, my Seiko SKX009 sits safely in a drawer....
