Best Pam for the $$

I was searching for the best value but it seems as ever td has miniscule differences in theirs offerings. And I could not find a list of the best Pam reps out of the box with little need of mods for those of us with little Pam experience.

It would be a great sticky to have. Going over the strapculture model guide its easily seen that chrono/date/destro/pvd/polished/brushed are obvious differences. Then we can look at that awesome spreadsheet to get a little more info on the variations and such.

But if we had a list of top rep version models at least for some 000,005,24,48,50,111,112 and so on... out of the box that would need minimal mods at all for those of us on a budget it would be a great addition and of course would open the pandora's strap box for us Pam noobs.

the 111J is from the noob factory and imo has the best case.

the 005 has the best cg of them all

That's twice I heard that, though not sure if it was you the other time it was mentioned as a bastardized version...

What components of each to make this ultimate Pam? This may be worthwhile.

Case/Movement from 111, Crystal/Dial from 005, pref hands from 005 but may have to use 111 hands because 005 are hit or miss.

Call it $600 on the safe side all said and done...

Anyone have better pricing on these models?

Is there an auto version of these two? (I guess it really does not matter because of the non date part) and closed case back preferred. How close is the 48/50 to the gen?

for both of them i would do it for 450
but 005 is not in stock
