Are you referring to the 111j from PureTime? If so, I want an opinion too, it almost seems too cheap to be a good rep, yet he has it marked as "Ultimate"

From a trusted dealer - I have dealt with personally - I too am looking for a PAM and like this one - Go to the official Panerai website - look at the photos there and compare. I think it is pretty close - Save $150 and buy a tank of gas! They also have it with a leather strap for about $20 less.

SEAD will be better lume, better crown, properly spaced crown crown guard lever will be tight... and if it has his aftermarket AR coating - this is a batch of crystals he had AR coated by CHIEF - this TOTALLY makes the dial pop and its worth the price just for that...

its such a universal watch as opposed to a niche occasion watch...
spend the money - you'll be happy with it and want to keep it for a long time...

The puretime with lume mod was also my first 111 and it was a great watch, I'm sure you wont be disappointed. I later upgraded to a vac custom build and the differences were quite subtle so I think you made a wise choice. I've now settled for a 177L and if you can live without the shiny stainless finish of the 111 it's a fantastic rep and one of my favourites. Once you have the 111 on your wrist be prepared for a addiction to take hold!

You can always buy a 177 and 111 and make a bastard 111

Use the 111J mvt, 177 hands and dial, and the 111 case and cb.

Sell the rest to offset costs
