It may have been 10 years ago but definitely not right now. There's not enough people wanting these in 2023 to make a profit with a high-end rep.

The primary market force in reps is Chinese demand.
If they wanted a Monaco rep - there would be great Monaco reps.

Too bad they are not popular in china, unlike Longines which have really good reps.

Well you go to watchcharts.com, and find the watches with a market price that's higher than retail. Namely AP, Patek, Rolex. Those are the popular gens thus they're the popular reps. Stuff like Tag, Breitling, Hublot. Panerai etc have market values significantly lower than retail. Instead of having to wait years on a waitlist you can typically walk into a store and buy one immediately at a discount.
The other variable is reppability. The Daytona movement is much easier to clone than the movement in the Moonwatch, and combined with the higher popularity of the Daytona is why we have essentially 1:1 Daytona reps but nothing close to a 1:1 Moonwatch rep.

Ha yes it is demand based, but every fool wants a Rolex, Patek just because of the name all whilst rocking a Honda

I would recommend just going gen on the Monaco, grey market you can get them for half of retail

Hi there, I am trying to see if anyone knows about the Tag Monaco. Specifically, I am trying to find out if Monaco was ever sold with a brown face. I have seen it for sale on a TD but not sure if it ever existed in the real world and Google doesn't seem to be of any help.
