Best factory for Cartier Santos ADLC black?

I’m looking to get the black adlc with rubber strap, but it looks like the bvf, gf, and v6f all have the wrong date wheel font.

The new THBF looks like a better font for the dw but no frosting around the dial.

Is there a version of this watch without any major flaws? What is the consensus for which factory is doing it best now?

BVF seems to be the best factory out-of-the-box if you can live with the date font flaw.
Few months ago I tried to do a franken project on a blue dial BVF but couldn’t find a proper solution to fit the gen date disc.

Never heard of this THBF but the date disc font looks indeed better, but the dial hour markers look a bit too bold to my eyes compared to gen, at least from this pic.

Depending on what movement this THBF has, might be the best bet combined with a gen crystal and a gen dial.

Cartier Santos - light Franken.

Gen dial and bezel. I need to polish the bezel as it was preowned. The gen dial is remarkable upgrade. Much more sunburst effect. The rep dial looks dull by comparison. Cheers!

Yeah it seems like the best route at this point is just BVF and get a custom date wheel. It would take more work to fix the THBF. You prefer BVF over GF?

Thanks! I’ve been messaging with him. I’ll probably go that route.

You prefer BVF over GF? I noticed the lume is only on the hands for BVF but GF seems to have the rest of the dial as well.

When doing my research on the Santos large the BVF was above the other factories and that's why I went with them.

Should see how much a gen dial is and when you change the date wheel you can do the dial at the same time.

Will do. Is it best to find a gen dial on eBay?

Can look on eBay or Chrono24 for dials. I haven't went looking for a Cartier dial but read threads where they are not that expensive compared to Rolex dials.

Since you are already talking with etashazam about the date wheel you should ask if he knows about getting a gen dial.
