Best Breitling SuperOcean Heritage II

Hi all. I’m looking at buying a SuperOcean Heritgage II 42mm but noticed there are two different versions out there. One is RU and the other is GF. I’m assuming these refer to the factory they’re made in so my question is, which one is better and why?

I’m pretty new to the world of reps and bought a Navitimer last year but despite researching it on here for hours, it ended up being pretty poor quality and now its basically useless so I don’t want to make the same mistake again. Was discussing the navitiner with an individual from this forum and they said the ASAIN7750 movement isn’t the greatest so wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this particular watch (superocean heritage) or movement (A2824).

Link the ones you are looking at as there are many models. GF are the best, not heard of RU but there are other 2nd and 3rd tier factory that make these.

To be honest I want the Rose Gold version really so hoping the GF version is better but if it’s not then still more than happy to go with the RU version so long as it’s good quality.

First one is factory OMF, ok but not great pearl is crap, as is date font and overall finishing.

Second is the best, I have had many colour variations and depending on if you get a good batch it is spot on to gen. I have the blue ss version and had the gen 46mm version…sold the gen 46 because the 4mm rep was that good.

As said depends on the batch, some are perfect with blue tint AR, some are not.

However, when I tried to make the purchase using the link Puretime sent it said purchase failed but the money went out of my bank account. I ended up having to contact my bank to cancel the purchase and get my money back.

So based on the above, I still want the watch but which TD is the best one to use. I’ve looked in the TD area and I can’t seem many other TDs that have this exact version. But having said this I’ve only looked at the websites, I haven’t actually contacted any of them directly. Is it best to just go through the list and contact each of then to see if they have it or does anyone know if a particular TD is best for this specific watch?

Did you try contacting the TD directly and ask for advice? If you send the TD proof of payment and he receives the funds, nothing should go wrong with the order. PM him.

I cancelled the payment because I wasn’t comfortable with it.

In future, you should contact the TD first. They are trusted for a reason. These sort of issues are often nothing to do with the dealer, and they will work with you to resolve. Don’t panic, it’s a game of trust & patience.

Just for your information, the GF Factory ones aren't available now.

The Factory was raided a while back and their stocks were confiscated by authorities. I believe there are smaller Factories making this model but quality is a tad weaker.
