Best Black Sub At The Moment?

Hi Guys,

Long time lurker, new subscriber!

Im in the market for a Black Sub, but im finding it really hard to pick between Noob V9 or ARF? Any inputs / help would be awesome!

Also with the movement, should i go SA3135 or 2824? Mind you i have a watchmaker who services both rep movements that lives around 40 mins from me.

Any help is much appreciated!

Personally, I would choose ARF with 2824. ARF quality is getting better and better IMO. 2824 is a very reliable movement.

I second that. Noob is too hit ad miss.

Yes I really wanted to believe in noob and had my mind made on the V9 only last week. After receiving 2 sets of QC's for 2 V9's that I had to reject, I changed to a completely different watch. I think they're focus right now is the 4130 Daytona to meet demand. So the production on the V9 is becoming a little sloppy.

I am also considering a Submariner or YachtMaster.
I think the Submariner is the perfect day to day watch with that brush treatment to the metal.
The Yachtmaster has the polishing on the case and bracelet, like the Milgauss, and that thing scratches easily...

It's for Christmas only, but 99% sure it will be a sub or a Yachtmaster (the grey dial with blue seconds hand).
The submariner it is the black or the hulk.

ARF with the 2824 is my choice, and I voted with my wallet as well. ARF with CeraMeister mod is pretty close to gen, IMO.

ARF Only needs DW and Xtal upgrade to make it perfect.

Insert on the arf is amazing out of the box. Far better than any v7

The Type 212 a is your best bet—range is about 8,000 nautical miles as well.

I think a Noob V9 done by BK and a gen Xtal + the spongebob mod is the way to go!!
