Hello all,

I’m interested in getting a 47MM Submersible Panerai to have something a little different from my gen PAM111. I cannot believe the quality of the reps; they’re amazing. I’d like to get your opinion / thoughts on the best quality 47MM rep.

From what I’ve researched, it seems like the PAM616 V3 is very close to a super rep; however, I’m open to other models as I’m not 100% on the carbotech. I’ve typically gone with the stainless look (brushed or polished) but accuracy in the rep is very important to me.

Thanks in advance!

Hello.

The PAM616 is a very good choice.
Steel 47mm submersibles are gone now. If metal, then only titanium.
If we consider only those that are now sold from TD, then the choice is great, they are all at approximately similar levels. Take a look at PAM984 / 985 for example.
If you are not limited to buying a new one, then find pam571.

I also have some gen Pam and thanks to VSF I have been able to increase my collection.
Of the Submersible models I can tell you that these models are great, they will never be perfect, but aesthetically they are very very close.
For me these are great, 382, 968, 799, 984, 1616, 692 and 616.
As I said before, they have flaws but they are not important to me if I compare prices and availability.
Believe me that when you have one of these in one hand and the gene in the other, those issues of shades, color of the hands or fisheye go into the background.
I was recently with a good friend who bought the 979 gen and I had the VFS with a gen strap.
Well, the truth is that there is a difference in the tonality of the indices, more gray in the gene and white in the rep, but honestly, it doesn't matter. My friend spent almost € 20,000, I gave him a quick reps course and then he told me he wanted to sell it and buy the Breitling Emergency II.
A good review when you receive it, test tightness and gen strap and enjoy them, I think there are things in life more important than a gray or darker gray hand, but I repeat it is my opinion and I respect all of them.

Awesome, thanks guys! So that answers my questions for the most part (accuracy) and I’ll do the 616. I also like the 569...

one more... how about the 968 Bronzo? Thoughts on that one? Seems fairly accurate...

You have a comparison with gen in his post
I reaffirm myself, only the movement, color of the lume and fisheye differs, the rest is super well built, catch it and put a gen strap and enjoy it

just curious... Does it really matter which TD are you buying from? I am on the hunt for PAM616 and want to make sure I am getting the best version, so I am wondering if all have the same VSF stock or not. Thanks for help

If you buy a PAM616 VSF, then any TD will sell you that one. The cost, delivery, form of communication, payment, etc., may differ, i.e., conditions.
