can somebody please tell me how to remove the tiny screws ? I know you need a 1.3 mm hex key, but are the screws screwed in from both sides...do they both need to be removed...or just one side and the bar slides out ? please post some advice !!thank you !!

You need to remove both screws, and then push the tube through from one side to the other.

You will find the that the tube is quite tightly inserted, so you will need one of your smallest screwdrivers or similar to be able to push it through.

thank you Niko,

i could get 3 of the 4 screws out, but they seem to have been glued in....some kind of white loctite or similar on the threads....one i could not get out...you can only use so much torque on those tiny screws...i guess the screw is round now...that sucks !! any replacement screws and tubes...somewhere ?
any idea ??
thanks so much for the input...happy hollidays.

Try an extractor to remove the damaged screw. For replacement try your dealer...not shure if you can get it at the hardware store :(

Actually, the exact same thing has happened to me! One of the four screws was lodged in there pretty tightly and the head seems to have been 'threaded' on installation.

At this stage I have not been able to remove it, but will leave it in there until I receive a set of replacement screws from my dealer. I did think that it may be possible to source those screws elsewhere, possibly from an electronics store and I did have a look around, but no luck.

Let me know how you get on removing your screw. I know that jewellers do have tools etc to do this, but I might try it myself if you have some success with those extractors.

Happy holidays!

Niko.....

see...i am not the only one...well, as i said...the extractors are on the way....and i am very positive i can get the screws out with them....even though i tried pretty hard wih the 1.3mm hex key...and it felt like the other screws were glued in with white loctite metal glue....how stupid for such fine threads !!...the screws head is not hardened...thats the problem.
I will let you know asas....i found out how to remove them....gohs i would love to have such a tactical nylon strap...any idea where to get one ?

The strap I have for my BR01 is a tan calf leather, in the same style as the strap which came with the watch, which is of course the standard strap for an instrumet series B&R.

I have seen the genuine version of the strap you want on the B&R website. I have checked on ebay several times, but have not seen one come up for sale yet.

I presume that aftermarket nato style straps will fit, and these are realtively easy to source.

strap remove B&R

Niko,

ended up destroying 2 extractors....ended up getting mad and grabbing the power drill....starting with a 1.6mm bit...then1.65mm finally 1.7mm which is the diameter of the bar....this way i could destroy and remove them....what a pain in the ass....never went through so much trouble, Niko !!
now i am also waiting for replacement for the tubes from dealer....also no luck in hobby stores....sigh.
ok, happy weekwnd !!

WOW two extractors wasted...do they broke or just stripped?
At least you managed to remove the screws.
