Because there is a good replica of the Breitling Emergency?

Occasionally me this question comes to mind. Especially when Breitling site object boxes have many good replicas (Navitimer, seawolf, abyss, ...) and in theory the digital mechanism would be easier to replicate one mechanic ....

I am the only one who likes the Emergency ....?

You think that the rep factories just go out and design and make a couple thousand special cloned Breitling digital movements so they can make one rep?

This will happen sometime around..........................................NEVER!

Afraid you'll have to live with the shitty Breitling Emergency reps that are available.

There are similar Swiss quartz for 1000 EUR (Victorinox). Replicated in China should be cheaper.

No attitude here, just a reality check.

You'd have to show me a good Emergency rep....One that actually works the same as a Breitling.

My point is that people constantly ask why they don't rep this or that rep, when the gen uses an in house movement that has zero chance of being produced by the Asian factories.

It seems like people think that the rep factories also make movements and they can just knock out a couple thousand new movements with no tooling or start up or other production costs. It just isn't going to happen. OK so maybe there's a "close movement" in a $1000 Victorinox. Do you think the rep factories are going to knock out a few thousand "close to " Emergencies that they can sell for $900? Don't think it will happen or be a great seller.

Kind of like the legions of members that are still waiting for that gen Daytona clone movement that's been "in the works" for years. Or the members looking for a Ulysses Nardin Circus Minute Repeater, or the JLC Tourby Moon Phase.

It's just common sense, ortho.

Had a GEN Emergency a couple years ago. To me it was a novelty watch that I enjoyed for a year, then sold for something new. Obviously never had a reason to use the emergency feature, but never the less interesting to have.

So does the technology to put a man on Mars. So what? Show me a Chinese Breitling movement that will work in a rep same as an Emergency.

See my first sentence:

I speak in terms of telling the time ... have chronograph, alarm. Never emergency positioning.
