get the asian.. get the movement serviced right away and it will be just as reliable. The A7750 movement is very reliable after servicing.

I just can not justify the premium that the dealers are commanding for the Swiss 7750. I know for some it is a big factor, and I do understand, but the Asian 7750's work well.

It is a watch you could easily have 3 off with the different face colors, poles or numbers, stainless and gold options, bracelet options...Maybe you could have 5

1. The hi-beat A7750 mvmt is a nice mvmt. My watch guy actually told me it looked more finished/polished than
my ETA 7750 mvmt I had laying around. Most likely because many of the ETA 7750 mvmts we see for sale during group buys or whatever are unfinished...ready to be shipped to Breitling or wherever. Once there they end up finishing/polishing/adding Breit rotor, whatever...

2. I myself have an ETA BCE & today will be installing an ETA in my Slevin. But NO WAY would I pay $1000 for this.
I would buy the watch used from another member at a discount & then just install a ETA 7750 mvmt. Its much more cost effective. For instance I just bought my Slevin for $250 because it had some issues. I'll stick an ETA 7750 mvmt
in it & in the end I'll have $650 in the watch. Not bad for a ETA 7750 chrono watch.

3. But I like doing this stuff for the sake of doing it...I have not seen an increase in performance by switching over to an ETA 7750. The reason I'm doing it for my Slevin is because in A7750 day/date watches, the day wheel will come out of position and you get that 'stuck' between 2 days thing. The reason being that there needs to be a retainer ring like in the ETA 7750 mvmts. So either you get the retainer ring from an ETA 7750 mvmt or in my case I'm swapping the whole mvmt for the heck of it.

4. I'll also be doing the swap in my IWC 3717...simply because its quickly become my fave watch and I like pimpin out my fave watches like the BCE.

Its all personal...but Dave has a point...save the money on the ETA 7750 and pick up some more reps!!! Cuz even with the 7750 in it...its still a damn rep...

well i for one do enjoy a swiss and i have mine in swiss but i didnt pay that price, i think u should check angus out , i did get mine over a year ago and changed out my dial but i do remember i got it from puretime and it was cheaper than if i got the asian and replaced it with a swiss, i think like $600 and some change , my brother got the asian at the same time with no servicing and runs just as good as mine , imo

just another opinion from a owner is all, but i am with the guys and wouldnt pay over a grand for it for sure, unless it is the 7753 swiss and even that is cheaper in a daylight 188 /196 rep , so i dont know why he wants that much for a 7750 swiss which is a cheaper mvmnt in the non rep world

The price seems steep. The watch is great though. I just bought the same watch with the Swiss 7750 in the mid 7's from another dealer. FYI, there is only one factory making the latest "Ultimate" 1:1 version of this watch sold by all of our dealers.

Not worth it at all... I will never buy a rep with ETA7750 installed at that price. Simply because genuine ETA7750 doesn't cost that much. Most importantly, swapping asian 7750 to ETA7750 can be done anytime (or at later time) without serious troubles.
