BBR is on FIRE! After the brand new RM055, this absolutely stunning VC.

The dial seems much better than the 8F without the purple hue and the tourbillon has much more details

Waiting for some videos but what a beauty….

Wow - that is stunning! Please share the vids when you get them. Maybe it's time for me to pick up a tourby...

I wonder how closely BBR have copied the 3rd gen bracelet on this...? Would be cool if it even has the pull-out quick release system.

Heard through the grapevine that it’s around 13.5mm thick as compared to the 10.4mm gen… hopefully one of our talented modders will be able to thin it down a mil or two at least, fingers crossed.

I've put down a deposit on one (buying it pending decent thickness and better pics of caseback, movement, bracelet etc). My TD didn't have more details to share atm, so will see what comes through...

Will share some more pics and specs when he does the QC.

Yep biao just updated the size and it is a bit thick at 13.5mm. 8F version is only 12mm (but the dial sucks)

Yes, I saw that. Bastards. If it is indeed 13.5, then it'll sit somewhere between a PPF PP 5726 and a ZF AP 15703. That's a bit thicker than I'd like, but with a 42.5mm diameter it might not look totally disproportionate after all...

The dial looks better than both 8F and EURF and from what I can tell the rest of the watch looks promising still. I'll hold off on making a decision until the QC comes through.

They got the 5 and 7 markers right which previous attempts haven't. The tourbillon itself actually looks better than the previous versions as well. The points on the Maltese cross are sharper than the previous tourbillons. A couple knocks: 1. the bezel cross has softer edges than gen. 2. the RG version has "stainless steel" hallmarks instead of Au hallmarks.

It's funny. I was watching a video where Vacheron were demonstrating the RG version of this model. The case back on their display watch actually said "stainless steel".

I guess it was early on in the release phase and they didn't actually have a full gold specimen to show yet. So instead they put some gold plating on a steel model and presented it as "the rose gold model".

It's at 4:03 in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVcY1WdKM6Q

My review: I want to love it but it's still a NO BUY from me.

Main reasons:
1. Thickness is much too much for my liking. If we remove the back cover and do some machining magic, we can remove maybe 1mm. Still 12.5mm and too thick. The thickness added is AT THE FRONT as well, if you look at the contouring they put by the crown on the rep.

2. Cross is not beveled. ZF got this right, now we need others to follow suit.

3. Coloring is off.
Gen has deep blues (see other above pic also for reference):

4. Minute wheel gear should be visible right underneath the dial. It's WAY down there!

Looks like they've managed to stuff up the spelling on the caseback too... "Stainless Steeel".
Hoping that's only on the prototype but not holding my breath.... FFS!

If the spelling error is there on the models they send out then this will be a pass for me.

I have seen this mistake on many variations , my only guess is that is an agreement of rep companies with authorities for easy control.
Otherwise how hard it is to spell steel after placing a turbillon and mimicking one of the hardest crosses

Agree. The AP Tourbillon models from R8F also had stupid typos on the back for a long time. I struggle to think it's an oversight.
