Hey there!
I need help on where to find in EU a good quality deployant clasp and also strap for my new BB Red Bezel.
The bracelet overall is good quality (edges are a little sharp), but I would like to switch to a vintage strap.
From reading around this forum I see it's not easy to get the OEM Tudor black distressed strap...
Thank you!

I'm also looking for something similar that won't cost more than the watch did.
Does it have to be within the EU?
Closest I've seen so far is the TD Puretime sells a strap for the BB with the deployment clasp - $60

You could check out Colareb straps from italy. They make nice distressed leather straps and are not too expensive.

Thank you Guys! @iHenryi Yep # 1, definitely!

Found the deployment clasp

@Vinguru Colareb straps look nice quality, but I have not seen what I have in mind...

@JustWandering I see gunny straps (not EU strap maker) make a nice "rep" of the original Black Bay Distressed leather black strap:

http://gunny-store.com/product/blackbay-6

I wonder if this is compatible with the original Tudor deployment clasp, which I think is an 18mm measure... I see in the gunny version specs it's a 22mm-->20mm strap 4mm thick.
Would it work anyway?

Also the New Black Bay on SteveO looks quite good
http://www.steveostraps.com/straps-2/top-end-stuff

Based on what I have found the original BB Black Distressed spec are:
- lengths 60mm / 135mm
- 22mm - 18mm
- 3mm thickness

Does anyone know if these numbers are correct? :idontno:

Oh and to make a deployant work correctly you need to measure the center point of your wrist and make the strap to suit otherwise the clasp may sit off center and be uncomfortable.

@ShovelnTC Looks nice! Yes, please.

As far as measures are concerned do you mean to measure the center of the wrist to better adapt the shorter side of the strap?

Yes I'll try to find an email that I received that explains how to measure your wrist and deployant location in order to calculate the strap sizes for each side.

You could just get it made the size of the Gen but there will be no guarantee that it will fit comfortably.

I'll try and find the info soon.

Guy is Jose Maria email is [email protected]

Maybe email him, tell him you want the BB style strap and ask about the sizing.

If he can't help with the sizing PM me and I'll try to find the measurement info.

Cheers,

Sorry mate can't find the exact method but basically you will need to get your deployant clasp first then with the watch sitting in the center of your wrist and the clasp also in the center of the other side of your wrist (you may need assistance for this) you then measure each side from the spring bar to the clasp fitting pin (piece where strap meets the deployant on each end) The short side will be the exact size measured but the long side will need approx 40mm added to alow for extra adjustment (bigger) and to go through the keepers.

The idea is to get the deployant to sit dead center of your wrist as that's the shallowest point of your wrist.

Also remember that with a deployant the short strap with the keepers goes to the 6.00 o'clock side of the watch unlike when a regular buckle is fitted the short side goes to the top.

For reference here is what I ordered and I have around a 6 1/2" Wrist

Hope this helps, Mark.
