I think replicating the carbon nanotube coated dial could be an issue. Let's not even talk about the movement.
Maybe they can apply the inscriptions on the crystal and double AR it, but that's how close I expect a rep to get to this watch :(

I read a lot about the movement and it's a stunning piece of technique.

Technically the movement is a variation of the P.3001 movement, which in itself is a variant of the base P.3000 movement, which the factories already have produced a very good clone of. So just skeletonize the movement, apply DLC on it, tack on a faux PR display with the pointer fixed at a reasonable point (maybe between 2-3 days), viola!

If the factories can produce such a custom movement, I'd happily pay a few dollars premium to get it correctly as the other features like the nanotube dial would probably be too hard to replicate (at this point anyway, let's not count out our creative factories yet).

Yes they could do that on the movement yet the PR would not work and any difference under the bridges of the p.3000 clone would be noticeable...
We can dream though, the factories did clone a rattrappante chrono after all :)

Yeah, just make it look like this as much as possible.

Since when do you see Panerai at Baselworld? [emoji6]

Never, because along with brands like Cartier, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre they present their new releases during the SIHH, which is held earlier. Anyway, the discussion is about the watch, not the event although the title could use some editing for clarity. :)

Exactly. Richemont has its own event in Geneva
