Hey guys,

I'm a noob and I am very happy to have found this forum!
It has been very helpfull and I just ordered my first rep (Explorer Pro Hunter).

Is was wondering: What do you guys think about this "replica"?
This is a Bapex type 15 by Bathing Ape: A copy of a Rolex Milgauss with the green sapphire glas.

Bathing Ape is a very respectable street wear brand.

I am pretty surprised that this isn't illegal since the Bapex watches are clearly a copy of their Rolex counterparts
(Type in "bapex" on google if you don't believe me) ;)

For people contemplating getting a Milgauss:
Do it! I have this Bapex and I get a lot of positive reactions on it from people thinking I have a Milgauss.
I'm happy with my Bapex but I'm just curious what the connoisseurs of RWI think of it ;)

I think all of the BAPEX watches use cheapy 21j movements. They are also highly priced too!

EDIT: Found this online..

"The Bapex I have seen is very cheap indeed, in fact, I'll go so far as to say it was absolute garbage. It was the 100% original black/white one based on the Rolex Submariner design but there were several things about it that immediately caught my attention. I am a bit of a watch afficionado so I know what I'm talking about.

Cheap 21 jewel automatic movement (I have seen better movements in Taiwanese Rolex fakes!)
Not waterproof by any standard of the imagination
Poor overall construction including...
Cheap screw down crown (with ape head marking) without rubber seals
Cheap mineral crystal glass face (should be sapphire crystal at least)
No 2.5x date magnification (in fact it resembles a poor Rolex copy with 1x magnification)
Loose unidirectional bezel with cheap sounding clicking noise
Poor quality stainless steel (should be 440 grade at least)
Not even proper luminex flourescent number markings

For 40,000 odd Yen I'd be expecting much better..."

Do you know that for a fact about the movements?
Been working pretty good for me to be honest. Already have it for two years and never had any problems.

I totally agree on the fact that they are pretty overpriced!

Thnx!!
I'm still very happy with it, but I did want to know what the quality is of this watch.
Clearly not that impressive ;)

absolute horrendous piece of scrap this thing... its exactly like a $30 aliexpress rolex. I cant see them using a quality movement if the outside is bad. they would have these things manufactured for about $15

Clearly these watches are pretty poor quality by this forums standards. [emoji16]
Looking forward to my first replica order from a TD even more now!

...And still very happy with my poor quality but beautiful Bapex ;)

that's not even a replica....barely qualifies as a homage

obviously used the Milgauss for inspiration, but that's their own design

the design of the DJ/Submariner/Milgauss is so highly "replicated" ......go look at invicta
