Ballon Blue RG longevity

My wife wants a Ballon Blue in rose gold with brown leather strap but a TD has warned me off the rose gold as it has a tendency to fade. Has anyone had experience with this?

I would go with your TD's advice and buy the SS version . It has nice polished centre links anyway . I avoid gold plated watches because they rub and become tarnished . Also hair spray , perfume body lotions etc are the worst culprits for tarnishing , so if a women's is wearing watch

I'm sure people will tell you if the gold plate is thick enough you will have no problem . However from personal experience they all tarnish eventually.

It is safe to stick with SS.
Gold will be difference in color, shade and fade problem.
