Is that a likeness of Mr. Incredible from the Disney/Pixar movie on the case back?
Seriously - a cool watch that I've never heard of. Is it a gen or a rep? And how much $?

These are reps guys. Ball Has some serious lume. Gas tubes mentioned by Tak. Sweet looking watch Hont, but one of the main selling points of the gen Ball is the Lume.

I have to absolutely agree on that!
I have the gen non-chrono version of this watch and the feature I love about it is the fact that the lume works 24/7 without ever needing light to charge it ( at east not for the first 10 years).
If you where a patient person you could pick up a gen of this watch on the Bay for about 2,600 US. retail is around 3,200 US
I get compliments on my gen nearly every time I go to the movies with it. The mix of green & orange tritium lubes really gets noticed.
If this rep has tritium tubes I WILL BUY 2 of them!

Hi Hont, is this using tritium gas tube also?

I am also curious about this, thats the real big selling point for the Ball watches... although i think the post office would be less than happy with a mildly radioactive package coming from China eh? lol

I have a gen Ball Hydrocarbon Engineer chrono-

it's my "Movie Theater" watch- good lume ALL the time. Gas tube lume is about half of C3 but it is always glowing.

Without the gas tubes I can't imagine the appeal of a rep...

Please let these be H3 tubes. Not holding my breath though.

I'm with you on this. If it's gas tubes I'm all over it.

Hont, can you confirm whether these are tritium tubes or painted lume?

Thanks!

Having H3 tubes or not, this is a pretty good rep, and if you were going to rep a Ball, this is a good one to do since it's not one in their line that glow in the dark with an overabundance of T25 or T100 luminosity. The Ball EM Diver watches normally have arabic numerals done up in tritium tubes as well which this model does not. Date font is off a bit along with a different font in the micro lettering on the case back. Detail in the 9 oclock register slightly unsorted, but other than those minor things it looks really really good, especially the bracelet. Check out the detail in copying the forged stylized 'rr' logo. Can't wait for better pics and to hear from Hont about the tubes also.

Actually I really don't care which one they rep as long as it has tritium tubes.

BALL is not a fashion watch neither a fancy luxury one. It is a time instrument. The one who decides to buy one is for the special qualities of this watch. The strong construction, shock resistance, water resistence, and above all the tritium gas illumination. The prices of BALL watches (original) start from 800$ . I have bought one last year (the ingenier) 1200$.
Let' s see what a replica could be. A replica is no going to have the quality constuction neither the shock and water resistance of an original, neither the movement. If it does not have even the gas tubes for the special lume there is no reason for someone to buy it. Is not a racognizable watch neither a very nice one. If it does not have at least the most visible quality of the original... what the purpose to get one? Let's talk about prices. How much is going to be? 200? 300? without the lume? sorry...if one can get an original for 800$ is not a deal. If they will come with the tritium gas lume i might get one if the price is reasonable.
